Homeschooling is not a decision that can be made lightly.  A parent has to have a tremendous commitment to take on the role of a teacher for their child.  Here are some questions that will hopefully help you decide if you can or should take on that role:

1)  As a parent with many other duties, do you have the time?  You will be home for several hours a day to instruct and then help your child with his/her work.

2)  Do you have the knowledge?  It is is decidedly easier to help a grade school student learn their studies but as you enter into the high school years, the classes become more challenging and you many want to consider hiring a tutor.

3)  Do you have enough patience?  Patience and understanding are paramount when considering homeschooling your own children.
